Eye spy the right color for me!

For me Spring means bright colors for both clothing and for makeup. I am someone who likes to collect eyeshadow palettes and experiment with different looks and colors, both on me and on my friends. When picking out eyeshadow I have to choose what is the most suitable for my eye color and skin tone. Even though the colors in the palette may look pretty, or look really good on my favorite youtuber, does not mean they will look so good on me. The reason for this problem is because certain colors and shades in the palettes are made to complement different types of eyes.

Brown eyes: I have brown eyes, but I have always wanted green or blue since they look so pretty! I have learned to love my brown eyes because the eyeshadow selection has the most out of the other eye colors. The best eye shadow for brown eyes are most shades of purple, dark greens, blue (be careful with blue) gold, and charcoal (for outer crease).

Blue: Blue eyes really pop with a matte taupe brown, shimmer peach, and warm bronzy browns. Something I enjoy doing on my blue- eyed friends is applying a bronzer in the crease and then going in with a taupe brown on the top lash line and using it to tight line the lower lash line and waterline.

Green: Purple, especially violet complements green eyes so well! Other colors such as light yellowy shades of gold and peach really makes grey eyes pop. A tip I have for you is to apply a light shimmer of peach or white in your inner corner, to make your eyes look more open and awake. It also can make your lashes look longer too!

Grey: Grey eyes can be a toughy since a lot of colors can be too over powering and make them look washed out. If not put on too heavily a charcoal black can look great on you! I would avoid dark browns, but a light brown, such as tan will complement your eyes very well. Most shades of purple will really make your grey eyes pop! Adding something like a light shimmer over your eyeshadow will look really pretty. I personally love the grey eye color and think its a statement on its own, so to avoid overpowering them I recommend matte eyeshadow.
